Illness and Emergency

We understand that kids may become sick, cry uncontrollable, or have an unexpected accident. In the event of sickness, since we do not administer any medications (except for Epipen for life-threatening situations) a staff member will contact the parent or authorized guardian for immediate pickup. Our sick policy requires your child to be away from the center for 24 hours for recovery. Your child may return after 24 hours with NO symptoms. The center is equipped with a first aid kit, and all staff at Kidz Planet is CPR and first aid training in the event of a minor injury.  For any extreme medical situations, the staff will contact 911 for assistance and if needed transport your child to the nearest medical facility. Parents will be notified immediately so that you can meet your child.

If a child does become ill while in our care, they will be separated from other children and cared for by staff member.

Any signs or symptoms of illnesses below will result in parents being notified to pick up the child immediately.

•   Temperature of 100.4 or higher

•   Diarrhea

•   Nausea/Vomiting

•   Red, watery eyes with yellow or cloudy drainage

•   Untreated and uncovered infected skin patches
